The Project
The "Volunteer Adventure" campaign for Ashford Volunteer Centre sought to inspire local residents to embrace volunteering as a means of connecting with their community, meeting new people, and learning valuable skills. To create a distinctive and engaging campaign identity, we focused on fostering a friendly and uplifting spirit, while minimizing reliance on imagery. This identity served as a cornerstone for all campaign materials, including flyers, social media assets, and Point of Sale displays, ensuring a cohesive link back to the overarching brand of Kent Volunteers.

The Challenge
The challenge was to create a campaign identity for the 'Volunteer Adventure' initiative that exuded friendliness and inspiration, encouraging local residents to embrace volunteering as a way to connect with others and enrich their community. With a brief that dismissed the reliance on imagery, we needed to craft a unique identity that would distinguish the campaign from the overarching Kent Volunteers brand while maintaining a cohesive and engaging presence across flyers, social media assets, and Point of Sale materials.

Our Approach
In response to the brief, I crafted a distinctive campaign identity that would resonate deeply with the local community, embracing the theme of adventure in volunteering. By focusing on a friendly and inspirational tone, we ensured that the materials would encourage engagement without relying heavily on imagery. This cohesive identity allows all elements of the campaign, including flyers, social media assets, and Point of Sale materials, to be seamlessly linked to the overarching ethos of Kent Volunteers, fostering a sense of unity and purpose.

The Outcome
The campaign launched with a unified identity that cut through the noise and gave the Volunteer Adventure initiative its own unmistakable presence across print and digital channels. By establishing a visual language independent of the parent brand, the campaign felt fresh and inviting to new audiences while remaining credible and trusted. Ashford Volunteer Centre now has a reusable, scalable creative framework they can build on for future campaign activity.
